The Wholesomebae holistic wellness process starts with a consultation and relevant investigations (such as functional tests), followed by a personalized management plan and ongoing review to ensure optimal health results and maintenance.

Offering both DNA-based and general naturopathic nutritional consultancy, I’m dedicated to helping others feel their best by understanding what’s going on inside of their body and creating awareness around wholefoods and what we define as a “healthy” lifestyle. I’ll ensure that you’re taking the right steps towards finding an evidence-based nutrition program that fits in with your lifestyle but most importantly: it’s tailored to your DNA, it will improve your quality of life and it can be sustained for a lifetime.

My private yoga classes and yoga therapy sessions are adapted to your specific needs to encourage a personalized holistic wellness program, that heals from within. Knowing that you have someone to help you every step of the way is one of the best motivational factors you could have and together, we’ll identify goals and work to achieve them – both on and off the mat.

Instead of doing what works ok for most, you can do what works best for you through DNA testing. It’s personalized medicine at its best, allowing me to take a uniquely tailored approach that uplifts you to a level most people never access, resulting in the most sought-after results.

The definition of wholesome

What does wholesome mean to me, you ask? “Healthy, beneficial, sustaining, strengthening, nutritious, nourishing, nutritive, unrefined, uncontaminated, organic, additive-free, nutrimental, nutrient, alimentary, conducive to or characterized by moral well-being.” These are just a few words that come to mind. In essence, wholesome connotes with promoting the health or well-being of the mind, body and spirit. This is exactly what Wholesomebae stands for.

Being wholesome implies organic, authentic and balanced living. Not only does it include being healthy, but also happy, fulfilled and aligned. We as human beings need to understand the connection between mind, body and soul by realizing that these parts – in alignment – make us whole. By understanding these connections, we’re able to reduce and cure environmentally induced illnesses, reverse aging, naturally prolong our lives, truly understand why prevention is better than cure and personally harness the power that we possess inside of us, in order to be in control of our health and quality of life.

This brings us to naturopathy, a holistic discipline that challenges modern medicine and its underlying monetary aspects versus health and disease arising from any or all aspects of the whole person – including physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental, social and even spiritual components. This exposes the multifactorial character of most diseases, in which harmonious functioning of all aspects are vitally important. This indicates that treatment needs to be personalized and comprehensive – something I value and believe in immensely. There’s no “one size fits all” approach when you want to heal. Tailored nutrition, insight into your DNA, a balanced, happy lifestyle and natural remedies are the start of your journey to a holistic, optimized and sustainable way of life. I aim to help you understand this connection by cultivating and guiding you on your journey to a wholesome lifestyle.

A holistic approach to understanding epigenetics and integrative nutrition

Epigenetics refers to the understanding of how your behavior and environment cause changes that affect the way your genes work. This includes influences such as a person’s diet and exposure to pollutants that impact your epigenome. Epigenetic modifications are reversible and do not change your DNA sequence, but they can change how your body reads the DNA sequence. By understanding how food affects your mental and physical health, external pollutants such as toxic household products disrupt your hormones and managing stress through mindfulness, yoga and holistic therapies – you’re able to reduce disease, injury and all ailments connected to an unhealthy and unhappy life.

Integrative nutrition

This notion of viewing food goes further than the number of calories you consume at every mealtime. It combines medical insights into foods that not only nourish, but also heal your body and its organs, too. It aims to educate my Wholesomebae followers on topics around their digestive health, the gut-brain connection and how imbalances impact their health , while addressing genetic predispositions, environmental impacts as well as physiological or psychological factors. It looks at how manifesting a healthy relationship with food and your body is directly related to healing, anti-aging, prevention of disease, psychological benefactors and overall health benefits.
